ProgrammesFamily Reunification

Family Reunification

Family is the foundation of a child's wellbeing and development. Our Family Reunification programme works to safely reunite children with their families whenever possible, or to find permanent, secure alternative care arrangements. We believe that with appropriate support, many families can be strengthened and kept together.

Our Approach

  • Family Assessment: Comprehensive evaluation of family circumstances, risks, and capacity to care
  • Intensive Family Support: Counseling, economic support, and practical assistance to address barriers to reunification
  • Mediation and Conflict Resolution: Professional support to resolve family conflicts and rebuild relationships
  • Reintegration Support: Ongoing monitoring and support after reunification to ensure stability
  • Alternative Care Planning: When reunification is not possible, we work to find safe, permanent alternative arrangements

Safeguarding First

Every decision prioritizes the child's safety and best interests. We work with families only when it is safe to do so, and we maintain rigorous safeguarding protocols throughout the reunification process. Some children cannot safely return to their families, and in these cases, we support finding secure alternative placements.

Impact

Successful reunification allows children to grow up within their families, with the love and support that families can provide. Even when reunification is not possible, our work to find safe, stable alternative care ensures that every child has a secure home and the opportunity to thrive.
