Outreach and Care
Our outreach teams work across communities in Lagos to identify vulnerable children, respond to urgent needs, and create safe pathways away from the streets. We focus on early intervention, safeguarding, and long-term stability for each child.
What we do
- •Daily community outreach to identify at-risk children and assess immediate needs
- •Emergency support including meals, hygiene items, clothing, and transport assistance
- •Social work-led case management with safeguarding protocols and individual care plans
- •Family tracing, mediation, and reunification support where it is safe and appropriate
Responding to displacement and street homelessness
When informal settlements or shanties are demolished, children are often left without shelter. We provide rapid response support to stabilize affected children, keep families together where possible, and prevent prolonged street exposure.
Accommodation pathway
We use a structured pathway to ensure safety and continuity of care:
- •Emergency support for children in immediate danger
- •Transitional shelter while assessments and plans are completed
- •Residential care for children who cannot safely return to family environments
Strengthening families and communities
Our work extends beyond the child. We support caregivers through guidance, referrals, and stabilization support, helping families rebuild safer and more secure living conditions.
How you can help
Support emergency meals, fund a social worker, sponsor accommodation, or partner with us to provide safe spaces and dormitory-style housing for children in need.
